For once, Jeyaraj has talked sense. The LTTE must take note of one important comment he made, and that is about ‘regime change’. There are potential actors in the field, be it RAW or uncle S, capable of maneuvering a regime change. The LTTE was caught unawares by the Karuna debacle. It cannot loose sight of any veiled attempt to a regime change. One cannot overlook the fact especially in an era how spy satellite technology helped the Israelis to pin down a Hamas second in command on a wheel chair, when he was rolled down to a mosque in Palestine.

Though one may not agree wholly with the writer regarding his various inferences as to what happened at Geneva and/or who were instrumental to force parties to the conference, his suggestion that "LTTE must stay the course in Geneva", is very sensible and advantageous to the country in general and to the Tamils in particular. But the million dollar question is, Will the LTTE take it seriously and adhere to it?. Do outsiders or even the Tamil people have a say in their decision making? Let us be optimistic and wait and see.

It is a very good suggestion you gave to the LTTE. We only hope they will be patient and achieve the results desired by the Tamils. If possible tell the Karuna faction as well to keep quiet for the sake of the Tamil people whom they claim as theirs.
