Toronto: "New York, run by the Swiss"
...........from high-rise apartments overlooking the harbor to
town houses and lofts being built near the recently redeveloped
Historic Distillery District, that demonstrate the city's real vitality,
and evidence that Toronto - once described by the actor Peter
Ustinov as "New York, run by the Swiss" - has been truly reborn.
At this time of year many of the city's museums
celebrate the festive season with themed décor and
events that explore the traditions of the past.
